📅 Expiry Date

• Each package is valid for the set number of terms, starting from the date of your first booked lesson.

• For example, if your first lesson is taken in the middle of Term 1, a Bronze Package must be finished by the end of Term 1; a Silver Package must be finished by the end of Term 2; and a Gold Package must be finished by the end of Term 3.

• Lessons cannot be carried over into later terms

• Please be reminded that some teaching terms are shorter than others — please take this into consideration when purchasing a package.

🗓️ Booking Lessons

• At the time of purchase, you must let us know all the lesson dates you wish to book.

• Lessons can only be scheduled within our published school term dates. We have limited availability during school breaks, and cannot guarantee lesson slots during holidays.

• This should not be a problem, as your lesson dates will already have been agreed with us at the time you purchase the package.

🔄 Rescheduling & Refunds

• Lessons under block booking are non-refundable.

• One grace reschedule is allowed per package (e.g. in case of illness or unexpected work commitment), provided that at least 24 hours’ notice is given to the school at info@canarymusicschool.co.uk However, the new rescheduled date and time must be agreed with us before the original scheduled lesson takes place.

💷 Price Comparison

Our block booking packages are priced slightly higher than our regular weekly or fortnightly lessons. This reflects the added flexibility in scheduling and the extra administration involved.

• Regular weekly lessons are our cheapest option at £48.50 per hour, and may be 10% lower if some lessons are booked during off-peak hours.

• Fortnightly lessons (A/B system) are £53.35 per hour, and may be 10% lower if some lessons are booked during off-peak hours.

• By contrast, block packages range from £55–£60 per hour, and may be10% lower if some lessons are booked during off-peak hours.

The Gold Package offers the best value within the block booking system, while the Bronze Package is the most flexible but also the most expensive per lesson.

Remember, block packages are designed for adult learners who cannot commit to a weekly or fortnightly schedule, and therefore provide flexibility rather than the lowest price.

💷 Payment & Other Details

• All block booking lessons are 1 hour in length. By contrast, our regular weekly and fortnightly lessons can also be arranged for 30-minute or 45-minute sessions.

• Block booking lessons are for adult learners only.

• Payment must be made in full and upfront at the time of purchase.

• Block booking packages are not transferable to another student.

• Students purchasing a block package remain eligible for our Family Saver Discount and Referral Credit.

• Off-Peak Discount: If any of your block-booked lessons are scheduled during off-peak hours (before 3:30pm), the package price will be adjusted to include the discounted rate for those lessons.

🎹 Trial Lessons

• A trial lesson can be booked before committing to a block package.

• Trial lessons follow our general weekly lesson rate (£48.50 per hour), which is cheaper than the block package rate.

• This gives you a chance to meet your teacher and experience a lesson before deciding whether a package is right for you.
