Autumn Music Workshops
Discover, Create and Make Music — Register Your Interest
We are planning a new series of group music workshops for children this autumn and would love to hear what your child would be interested in. Sessions may take place on selected dates from late September through to the October half term, depending on interest.
What We're Exploring
We are currently exploring a range of workshops led by Canary Music School's specialist music teachers. The final programme will be shaped around the interests of the families who register.
Musicianship & Musicality
Rhythm, listening, singing and musical activities designed to develop strong all round musical skills.
Piano Taster Workshop
A friendly, hands on introduction to the piano for children who would like to give it a try.
Violin
An introduction to the violin through practical activities and guided playing.
Viola
Discover the viola and its rich, warm sound through a practical introductory session.
Singing
Enjoy singing together while developing listening, confidence and healthy use of the voice.
Composition & Creative Music
Explore musical ideas and discover how children can start creating music of their own.
The activities above are currently being explored. The final selection will depend on interest and may vary between sessions.
When & Where
Depending on interest, we may offer individual music workshops, combined workshops, or Music Days featuring a range of musical activities.
If we run a Half Term Music Camp, the provisional format would be:
- Morning Session: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
- Afternoon Session: 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm
Families may be able to choose a morning or afternoon session, with further details to be confirmed when the programme is announced.
We will use the responses to this form to help us decide which activities to offer, the most suitable dates, and whether there is enough interest to run individual workshops, Music Days or a Half Term Music Camp.

- Which musical activities your child would most enjoy
- Which dates or periods would work best for your family
- Whether you would be interested in individual workshops or a longer Music Day
There is no payment or commitment at this stage.
As a thank you for helping us shape the programme, families who register their interest now will also be offered a special early interest discount on eligible workshops if they later choose to book.
Registering Your Interest
- Registering your interest is not a booking and does not reserve a place.
- No payment is required at this stage.
- The final activities, dates, times and venue will be confirmed after we have reviewed the level of interest.
- Families who register will be among the first to receive the programme and booking information once details are confirmed.
