At Canary Music School, most students continue with Regular Weekly Lessons following their trial lesson. To support students with different scheduling and learning needs, we also offer a small number of alternative lesson pathways, which you can explore below.

A limited number of flexible lessons are available for adult learners, including short notice Open Slots or Flexible Packages that can be planned in advance.
Regular Lessons provide continuity with the same teacher and a structured approach to learning. This is particularly important for younger students, as getting to know their learning style, personality and individual needs allows the teacher to provide more effective guidance and motivation over time.
Regular Weekly Lessons provide the most consistent structure, allowing the teacher to monitor progress closely and maintain momentum from one lesson to the next. They are our most recommended pathway, especially for younger students, and also offer our lowest lesson fees.
Regular Weekly Lessons also provide the best access to popular after school lesson times. Our teachers are often busiest on weekdays after 3:30 pm, so these peak times are primarily reserved for Regular Weekly Lesson students. Regular Fortnightly Lesson students are then offered these times where availability allows.
Regular Fortnightly Lessons may be suitable for students who require a less frequent regular schedule and are offered at a slightly higher rate.
Regular Weekly Lessons offer our lowest lesson fees, while Regular Fortnightly Lessons are offered at a slightly higher rate.
Online Open Lesson Slots are currently offered at special promotional rates as part of the pilot campaign, while Flexible Lesson Packages are offered at a premium rate.
Lesson fees vary depending on lesson length, format, location and level. Open Slot prices are shown on our online booking platform; all other final lesson fees are confirmed by email before booking.
Canary Music School runs six terms each academic year. Each term usually lasts around 5 to 7 weeks, depending on the academic calendar.
Regular Weekly and Fortnightly Lessons are booked throughout the term and are paid for in advance on a termly basis. The number of lessons may vary slightly depending on the student’s regular lesson day and any UK bank holidays. Lesson fees are calculated according to the actual scheduled lesson dates within each term.

One lesson cancellation or rescheduling allowance is available per term for Regular Weekly and Fortnightly Lessons, subject to the conditions set out in our Regular and Extra Lesson Terms and Policies .
For Flexible Lesson Packages, cancellation, rescheduling and expiry arrangements depend on the package agreed at the time of booking. Please contact us to discuss the details before booking.
As Online Open Lesson Slots are booked individually at short notice, they cannot be rescheduled once booked, and no refund is provided for lessons not attended.
Progress does not need to pause during term breaks.
Students taking Regular Weekly or Fortnightly Lessons may arrange Extra Lessons during school holidays if they would like to continue learning between terms.
Flexible Lesson Packages may also be arranged during term breaks, and Online Open Lesson Slots may be released during school holidays, subject to availability.
