Which Lesson Path is Right for You?

At Canary Music School, our individual lessons are offered in two main formats: Regular Lessons and Flexible Lessons.

Regular Lessons are designed for students who would like a consistent weekly or fortnightly schedule. Flexible Lessons are available for adult learners who need a more flexible arrangement, subject to teacher and venue availability.

Regular Lessons

Recommended

Our core programme is built around regular, structured lessons.

  • Weekly or fortnightly lessons at a fixed time
  • Booked and paid for on a termly basis
  • Suitable for steady progress and long term development
  • Preferred by the majority of our students

Regular lessons are the most consistent and recommended way to support progress, especially for younger students.

Flexible Lessons

Adults only

Limited availability

A limited number of flexible individual lessons are available for adult learners.

  • Arranged as lesson packages
  • Subject to teacher and venue availability
  • No fixed weekly schedule
  • Suitable for adult learners who need more flexibility
  • Details depend on the package agreed at the time of booking

Flexible lessons are usually best suited to self directed adult learners who are able to practise independently between lessons.

Continuity

Consistency is central to meaningful progress.

For regular weekly or fortnightly individual lessons, students follow a regular schedule and lessons are booked on a termly basis.

One lesson cancellation or rescheduling allowance is available per term for regular lessons, subject to the conditions set out in our Regular and Extra Lesson Terms and Policies.

For flexible lessons, cancellation, rescheduling and expiry arrangements depend on the lesson package agreed at the time of booking. Please contact us to discuss the details before booking.

Beyond the Term

Progress does not need to pause during term breaks.

Both Regular Lessons and Flexible Lessons may be arranged beyond term time, including during school holidays, subject to teacher and venue availability.

If you would like to arrange lessons during term breaks or outside the usual school calendar, please contact us and we will be happy to discuss possible options.

Fees

Regular lessons are offered at a lower rate, reflecting a structured and ongoing commitment.

Flexible lesson arrangements are offered at a premium because they require more flexible scheduling and are subject to availability. Fees vary depending on lesson length, format and location, and are confirmed individually.
