About the course
This group course is specially designed for adults who want to enjoy learning piano in a relaxed, friendly environment β no pressure, no exams, just music you can enjoy. Whether youβre starting from scratch or picking things back up after a long break, this course will ease you in gently and help you build confidence from the very first note. This course is designed as part of a rolling programme β if you enjoy it, you can carry on with more terms!
Who is this course for?
Adults who have never played before and want a clear, friendly introduction
Adults who learned piano as a child or teenager, but had to stop due to work, studies, or life
Anyone whoβs curious about how music works and would like to play their favourite songs
People who enjoy learning with others and want a social, encouraging atmosphere
What youβll learn?
Guided by a professional piano teacher, you will learn to play a wide variety of music.
In this first 7-week term, youβll learn:
How to read music, starting from the very basics
How to play simple melodies with both hands
Rhythms and note values β what the dots on the page really mean
Introduction to music theory in plain, everyday language
Healthy posture and hand position at the piano
Practice tips you can use at home
π― By the end of the course, youβll be able to read and play beginner-level music confidently β and be well set up to continue learning in the next term.

Instruments & Materials
πΉ In this course, each student gets:
Their own 61-key keyboard to use
A set of headphones for focused practice
A music book worth around Β£25 β included in the course fee
Worksheets and learning materials from the teacher (if needed)
π¦ You donβt need to bring your instrument to the class β though we strongly recommend getting a keyboard for home practice. Your teacher can give suggestions on affordable, beginner-friendly models during the course.
